The "wild plum" of the Piemonte is a variety of centuries-old fruit. Famous for its intense color blue and for the sweet taste, but now a species in danger of extinction. The trees of this fruit grow at an altitude between 400 and 700 meters on the sides of the mountains of north Italian and they are grown by only few farmers. The harvest of the fruits is complex and long: among thorns are placed nets to collect fruits, that fully ripe, fall to the ground. A lengthy process that respects the rhythms of nature but that is fully repaid by the intense flavor of the juice that maintains all the characteristics of the fruit.
